That's awesome, Jason! I remember the first time I cleared 100 miles, then 200. It wasn't that long ago, and it's a good feeling! I was riding to the bus at the time, but I'd start riding to or from further bus stops. Then I'd ride more recreational rides, and after I moved a little closer to work, I started to all-but ditch the bus.

I'm also a year-rounder, but I'll probably do the 4-ish mile round trip to the bus stop come winter time. Where I lived before, it was about 6 miles R/T for the bus.

The world needs more people like you that haven't been doing this forever and ever. It's easy for sedentary folks to write off life-long bicycle commuters as zealots who have always been physically fit. It's hard to make excuses when they see someone that was recently just like them, who's now packing on the miles and using the bike every day for basic transportation while enjoying the sensory experience, health, and environmental benefits of bicycling as a lifestyle, not just a weekend hobby.

Congrats on your accomplishments!
