Awesome, awesome, awesome! What about a handlebar mounted to the back of the seatpost for Bernie? Might help him feel more secure if he had something to hold onto.
I love the “Bob the plumber” picture. Bob just looks like a plumber should look.

Thanks, Doug! You’re exactly right about a handlebar. I’ve been looking at other folks’ solutions, and it seems like a stem + a cut-down handlebar with grips is a good fix.
