If I were a driver, I'd be pissed at someone nearly invisible on the road, too. I'm the opposite. I spent considerable amounts of time pasting reflective tape to my bike and wheels, I use two tail lights, a headlight, and I try to wear light-colored clothes. I was out driving last night and noticed just how hard it was to see alot of riders out on the road. Those with out reflectors were pretty much invisible, and those with just pedal or rear reflectors weren't that easily seen either. I look for bikers when I drive, but I would guess many drivers don't. I like to use a more active approach to visibility at night like tail lights and headlights. Your lights definitely do that.
