My first snow commute! (Comments: 5)

OK, so there wasn’t any snow on the ground. But it was definitely snowing on my ride to work this morning! And on the ride home two minutes later! And then on the second ride back!
What?
Yes, the snow was lightly falling this morning as I bundled up and left for the office. I was wearing:
- Long-sleeved t-shirt
- Sweater
- Pearl Izumi Zephyr jacket
- Walz cap
- 180s ear muffs
- glove/mittens (fingertip gloves with a mitten part that pulls over the ends of your fingers)
- corduroys
- wool socks
- crocks
I was perfectly warm, except for my face. I had a scarf in one of the bags on the Packet Boat, but I’m not that fond of it because it’s too short, so it always comes unwrapped while I ride.
I arrived at work at 8:45.

I know it doesn’t look like it’s snowing, but it is!

I walked into my office and set up my camera’s automatic feature to take this:

Let’s see YOU sit on YOUR rack!
Just as the shutter clicked, my phone rang. It was Jen telling me that my work car was blocking our other car in our driveway. I have the only key to my work car, and it was in one of those bags you see so conveniently placed on the Packet Boat. So I rode back home, moved the car, then rode to work again.
Tonight on the way home, I stopped at Dick’s Sporting Goods and got a microfleece balaclava to wear for this evening’s cruiser ride.
