I haven’t had time to meet many other cyclists yet in Albany, although I think that’s about to change. (Suspenseful foreshadowing!) In the interim, though, I decided to keep the weeknight cruise theme alive, even if I had to do it myself. Which, as it turns out, I did.
I took a little ride around the neighborhood tonight, starting by heading down Peyster to Ridgefield to Lake, down by Sage College. It was a gorgeous 65 degrees. Here’s the admissions building:
This sign caught my eye, too, even though I don’t know what it means:
I rode through the Sage campus for a bit, then onto the campus of the Albany College of Pharmacy and behind the Albany Medical Center. I ended up on Hackett Street, which has a multi-use path along the east side. The sky was clouding over as the sun set:
The multi-use path passes behind the Albany Academies. You can see just one building from the path:
Um, there’s a fish on the weather vane:
Finally, I cruised over to Fairfield Street and then north for a while, where I encountered this tree:
Now I just need some cruise companions…
