My BF found an old bike like this and I have determined this is the exact same bike. It is rusted and it is missing the tank portion but it looks great! All chrome!! He is just wanting to fix the tires but I am interested in restoring it for him...on his dime of course :-) Do you have any suggestions of ways to do this, good sites etc to find parts? I also am not real sure of what year it is.

McD - That sounds awesome, I'd like to see pics!

Patrick - That is really cool that you remember tthem when they were new, I am always interested to hear what the opinion of them was back in that time. And I have a flightliner with a redband kickback, I am working to get it rolling right now.

Armand - These things are only worth something to someone who wants them, but if it's in good condition, you might get at least 100-200 in some markets, or even more in others. Just depends on where you are sometimes. I'd hope that it's more to you as a fun project bike to fix up and ride! You'll be glad you did.

I got one just like this all original & unrestored sitting in my barn. I think it is a 1963 front springs on fork.

What's it it worth?

Nice. I found one abandoned on a bike rack in Chicago. I sat out there the day the City was going to remove and junk it. It was a total basket case, with only the frame, forks and chainguard. I chopped some old chrome Schwinn road bike forks and extended them 2 1/4 feet.
After adding some "ape hanger" bars and a blck banana style seat, the bike looks great and I get compliments on it wherever I go.

Thanks! There is a light, but right now it doesn't seem to be functional. I haven't really messed around with it to find out why yet. Would you want to take apart something so pretty so soon after getting it?
