Unfortunately, the number of women who registered and competed was a small fraction of the number of men. This is also reflected in the local GVCC training series. On a good night the women's race might start with a dozen riders. On a bad night the men's A race will start twice that number and the two B races regularly pull 40+ riders each. Women can also race with the men if they prefer. There just aren't that many women in the sport.
