Funny thing happened to me on the way home from work today. I got stuck behind a school bus. I thought, that’s unusual, that hasn’t happened all summer. It occurred to me that school must be back in session. So please be careful out there. Kids are crazy, and drivers stuck behind buses are impatient.

Agreed Ethan. The 2nd to last thing any of us needs is bad press about bicyclists passing stopped school buses. I believe bus drivers now carry forms for reporting drivers (and potentially bicyclists) that pass when they’re stopped. So take it a step further and help out the bus drivers by providing plate info of auto-ers that pass the stopped bus, because the #1 thing we don’t need is a kid getting hit by a car passing a stopped bus.
I assume NYS Law on passing stopped school buses applies to bicyclists.
