Welcome to the family, Adam!

That sounds pretty awesome. But, why “the Chicken Avenger?”

That’s Jason’s nickname for me. I spend a lot of time trying to protect the 9 billion chickens slaughtered annually in the US.

Oh, *that* kind of chicken. Alright then.

Looks good, Adam. But let me play devil’s advocate: why should anyone opt for an Xtracycle rather than a trailer? The latter can be attached and detached easily, which gives the cyclist (assuming s/he has just one bike, a horrendous fate, to my mind!) a lot more flexibility. And a trailer, depending of course on model/type, may have a much greater carrying capacity. So… let the opinions fly!

I’m sure that if I had a trailer, I would hardly ever use it.
Here are a lot more reasons why the Xtracycle beats a trailer hands down.

Ahh…I know that feeling well. You are soon to enter a world of rampant joy where using your bike for absolutely everything is not only possible, but fun and practical. Welcome.

congrats, Adam!!
If/When I go completely car-free, I’m pretty sure I will want an Xtracycle. For now, I’m in the market for a trailer, since my bike doubles as a mode of transportation/recreational bike, and I’d rather not have the extra weight when I’m out on the trail or road.
