I think you mentioned it in the original post but only offering one trip in the morning and one in the evening artificially diminishes the demand for the bus. Folks don't take it because it's inconvenient. The bus system won't add more buses to the route because people don't take it (though every seat is full by the time we get to Macedon almost every day.)

Thanks for the very helpful comment, jodycb. I hope RTS/RGRTA will add some service to the route, to benefit all (and potential) bus riders as well as bicyclists. It certainly is odd that the 92 bus, which runs through big population centers from downtown to Perinton, Macedon, and canal towns to the east, can be "covered" with just one round-trip in the morning and another in the evening - and at that, only Mon-Fri. You'd think hundreds, if not thousands of commuters would be rattling the RTS cage to get more buses on this particular route (same goes for other commuter routes). Then there's the question of weekend service: why don't we, as a matter of social responsibility, provide adequate facilities for non-motorists to travel within between municipalities seven days a week? I mean, non-motorists and people with disabilities who can't drive deserve to have the means to get to cultural activities and entertainment, apart from "regular business hours." We do have LiftLine, but this fine service is limited in many ways and is not a substitute for a comprehensive mass tranist system that would serve (and bring together) all manner of users... A significant number of people in my neighborhood get around primarily by wheelchair, bike and trike; they're the ones whose movements are severely limited, not so much by their disability as by the lack of easy, dependable 24/7 transportation alternatives.

It's true that there is some crowding with cyclists on the 92 bus. I take it round trip 3-5 times a week with my bike. Be aware that due to crowding you should now be able to stick your bike into one of the luggage compartments underneath the bus (on the coach style bus). It's the first big panel just to the left of the door. We've had up to 4 cyclists on the bus at one time.

I agree that it would really make life easier to have more runs out to Newark. 2 times a day sounds heavenly. Now if there isn't room on the bus for my bike I get stranded & have to ride all the way home to Newark... which is a long way after a full day of work.
