Author: Jason Crane
Date: 17 September, 2007
Category: Road Stories
Adam Durand is a graphic designer, amateur filmmaker, and as of 2007 a daily bicycle commuter. He picked up bicycling to encourage community building, save money, reduce his dependence on oil, and enjoy the feeling of self-righteousness. He is known for his strong convictions — stories of his civil disobedience on behalf of egg-laying hens and resulting jail sentence have appeared in over 60 newspapers, including The New York Times and The Washington Post. He resides in Rochester, New York and has no idea what the current price of gas is.
